Balsamic Glaze
An Unsung Hero...
Balsamic glaze is both sweet and sour. Only having two ingredients, both of which are natural preservatives means it keeps in the fridge for a really long time and complements savoury food and sweet desserts equally well. It's definitely worth keeping some of this around!
- Makes less than 100ml
- Prep - 5 mins
- Cooking - 10 mins
Gather The Ingredients...
- 50ml Balsamic Vinegar
- 160g Caster Sugar
This Won't Take A Moment...
Put both the balsamic vinegar and the caster sugar into a saucepan and put on medium heat. It should start to boil and you want to hold that boil for about 6-7 minutes. Decant into a heatproof sealable container and store.
Simple really.
